About The Position

The Test Development Engineer provides technical and sustaining engineering support for parametric and functional testing. The role programs automated test equipment to assess whether wafer fabrication processes comply with specifications and recommends and implements equipment and test-program modifications to improve production efficiency, testing integrity, and yields for existing products. It develops and conducts statistical analyses, including design of experiments (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC), to identify areas and potential root causes of yield loss and improve quality. The engineer works with product and process engineering personnel to ensure parametric test specifications and results are accurate. The position supports early process development and production, including test-program development and debugging, documentation, training, troubleshooting, and enhancements to productivity and accuracy. It also supports tester maintenance through troubleshooting and verification code, and maintains standards and Gauge R&R for automated test equipment. The position is based at the company’s offices and manufacturing facility in Bloomington, Minnesota. The estimated base salary range is $100,000–$130,000, with pay determined by factors including education, relevant experience, skills, and position level. The role may require U.S. citizenship or permanent residency in the future depending on federal requirements.
