About The Position

As a member of CIBC’s team, the Test Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing test scenarios and scripts for functional system integration and acceptance testing across multiple platforms, in compliance with established controls, standards, policies, and procedures. The role utilizes a solid understanding of business dynamics to define and document criteria for testing and present results following the defined testing methodology. The Test Coordinator troubleshoots problems and provides technical training to less experienced employees, maintaining test system configurations and executing test scripts using test tools for compliance with testing standards. The role uses judgement and autonomy on day-to-day tasks, exercising considerable latitude in analyzing and resolving complex problems during test execution, or escalating issues and concerns. The role proactively addresses problems within the scope of responsibility and identifies areas for improvements. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Requirements

  • Experience in Software Testing Life Cycle - Agile or Waterfall methodologies, QA approaches, Tools, Techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems.
  • 3–5 years of experience in native Mobile QA/QE.
  • 1–3 years in development.
  • Expertise in iOS/Android Mobile quality assurance.
  • Experience in Programming languages commonly used for automation (any of Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • Experience with Automation frameworks, tools, and libraries (Playwright, Robot framework, Appium (native mobile testing), and any of, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Junit, etc.).
  • Experience writing and executing automation test cases, custom functions, and building object repositories.
  • Experience with Cloud-based device testing (e.g., HPMC, Perfector or similar other tools).
  • Experience with Web technologies (HTML, CSS, web services) and Version control systems (e.g. GIT).
  • Accessibility Testing Skills for Mobile Devices: Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 standards and assistive technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities (Ability to analyze data accuracy in Adobe Analytics report).
  • Quality management and expertise.
  • Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or similar.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance testing, API testing and virtualization.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and other Gen AI-based tools, as well as Jira, Confluence, and various Agile, development, and QA tools.
  • Experience with Parasoft, REST API, and other API testing and virtualization tools.
  • Experience with Perfecto and other mobile/browser testing platforms.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, define, and translate business and functional requirements, use cases, designs, and specifications into testing requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate end to end testing activities for small and large projects across many teams with both onsite and offshore resources.
  • Respond to client's inquiries and requests, providing professional high quality customer service for the assigned portfolio to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Liaise and interact with clients as part of the daily management of your portfolio technology to support objectives or address issues.
  • Work with test leads, business, business analysts and development teams to establish test plans, standards, and procedures that add value to software projects and satisfy the constraints of the project by reviewing project documentation.
  • Monitor project adherence to quality standards and track/provide progress testing status reporting as needed.
  • Adhere to CIBC’s processes through all phases of the software development life cycle-ensure test activities are compliant to test standards.
  • Recognize, anticipate, and resolve testing activities challenges during the testing life cycle.
