About The Position

Nordic Investin has been engaged by a partner company to find a Test Automation Engineer. The partner is improving quality engineering across web services and APIs. You will develop automated tests, strengthen testability and work with developers to move defect discovery earlier without creating a brittle test estate. The team works across disciplines and expects quality to be shaped throughout discovery and delivery. You will have space to challenge assumptions, make evidence visible and improve how decisions are made.

Requirements

• Professional test automation or software development experience.
• Ability in Java, C sharp, Python or TypeScript.
• Experience with API and browser automation tools.
• Good understanding of CI CD and version control.
• Structured defect investigation and communication.
• Professional English and a collaborative quality mindset.

Nice To Haves

• Contract testing or service virtualisation.
• Performance testing at realistic load.
• Experience moving from manual to automated quality practices.
• You may be a developer who specialised in quality or a tester who developed strong coding skills.
• We value engineers who improve the system of delivery rather than simply increasing the number of test cases.

Responsibilities

• Build automated API, integration and user journey tests.
• Develop test utilities, fixtures and reliable test data.
• Integrate quality checks into CI CD pipelines.
• Investigate flaky tests and remove their underlying causes.
• Contribute to performance and resilience testing.
• Help teams choose the right test level for each risk.
