Test Automation Engineer
About The Position
Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The Air Force, Space & Intel Business Group (AFSI) of SAIC is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA. SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation’s information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies. Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secure and adaptable IT infrastructure, provide customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Nine (9) or more years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, and automation.
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required at the start of employment.
- Certification: Holds IAT Level II certification in one of the following: CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Seven (7) or more years of applicable experience.
- Experience with ServiceNow development and testing, including modules, workflows, and integrations.
- Knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium or ServiceNow ATF, and experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in Agile or DevOps teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed test plans, strategies, and cases for ServiceNow modules and software updates to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design, write, and maintain reusable automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF), and CI/CD frameworks.
- Leverage DoD Approved Multimodal AI models to support creation of customized ATF Steps
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance testing for ServiceNow applications and custom workflows.
- Conduct API testing to ensure seamless integration between systems.
- Identify, track, and report bugs through detailed defect reports, severity assessments and bug hunts with development team.
- Provide regular metrics on test coverage, defect trends, and overall product quality during software development.
- Collaborate in sprint planning sessions, defect triage meetings, retrospectives, and stakeholder reviews to ensure alignment on testing approaches and deliverables.
- Stay updated on DoD cybersecurity and data protection mandates.
- Apply industry-standard best practices for quality software testing to enhance testing coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Ensure test automation frameworks are optimized and continually improved to reduce test cycle times and increase defect detection efficiencies.
- Produce dashboards and performance reports to provide digestible and actionable insights to support informed decision-making.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Activities, creating UAT Tests, while working closely with Product Owners
