About The Position

This role focuses on translating business and architectural intents into clear use cases, test scenarios, and test cases. The Test Architect will partner with Product and Engineering during grooming cycles to shape well-formed stories and acceptance criteria. Responsibilities include driving defect triage, risk/impact assessments, and documenting decisions. The role involves performing targeted manual and exploratory testing, validating complex end-to-end flows, and collaborating with teams on API test automation, advising on ROI. Day-to-day operations will be in Jira, maintaining backlog hygiene, story quality, and reporting. The Test Architect will also partner effectively with Principal Engineers/Architects, communicate status, risks, and quality posture with executive-ready updates, and contribute to long-term vision while sequencing near-term quality milestones.

Requirements

• Senior QA leadership experience in large, complex programs (architecture-adjacent or within architecture teams).
• Demonstrated ability to craft and execute test strategies for enterprise, multi-system initiatives.
• Strong API and regression testing experience.
• Strong requirements/use-case/test-case authoring skills with impeccable clarity and traceability.
• Proven success partnering with Principal Engineers/Architects and multi-disciplinary teams (Product, Dev, QA).
• Jira fluency: story/AC quality, workflows, dashboards, and linkage for full lifecycle traceability.
• Comfortable being hands-on: execute targeted manual tests; roll up sleeves when the team needs it.

• Hands-on automation experience is a plus, not a hard requirement.
