The Boeing Company is seeking a Test and Inspection Embedded Software Engineer-Entry Level to join their Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) and avionics Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Software Engineering teams in Hazelwood, Missouri. This role supports both commercial and military platforms. The primary responsibilities include developing, integrating, bug fixing, and testing C++/C# software for controlling NDI and ATE electrical equipment. This also involves updating User Interfaces (UI's) and creating functional and unit tests for the software. The NDI equipment managed by the software includes robotics, LIDAR, ultrasound, and electrical test equipment. The ATE equipment managed by the software includes digital, analog, Radio Frequency (RF) - Wifi and Cellular, communication busses, power, and display test equipment. For the ATE role, supporting updates to the test executive/sequence software is also required. Additionally, candidates will be responsible for the maintenance and setup of DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Windows runners in GitLab. The general responsibilities of an Embedded SW engineer include designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software integrated into embedded devices and systems, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards. This involves reviewing and translating customer requirements into software designs, writing code for specialized hardware, integrating software with hardware components, and analyzing/improving the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems. The role also includes implementing current and emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks, advising on software and hardware integration, and tracking/evaluating software team performance for compliance. Project management functions for embedded software are also part of the role.
