About The Position

JRC is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Test and Evaluation Cyber professional to support the Navy SSP customer on a new Acquisition development program for the Nuclear Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) program. This role requires a multi-disciplinary individual who combines the rigor of Test and Evaluation (T&E) with deep expertise in cybersecurity and weapons systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Active DoD Secret or DoE security clearance.
  • Proficient in analyzing test data to identify system vulnerabilities, performance issues, and root causes of failures.
  • Skilled in authoring detailed technical reports and briefing findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with the DoD's Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of IT systems.
  • Understanding of missile system architecture, including guidance, navigation, control, and communication subsystems.
  • Expertise in identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities within embedded software and hardware components of the weapon system.
  • Ability to evaluate the weapon system's resilience against a range of cyber threats, including kinetic and non-kinetic attacks.
  • Knowledge of Live Fire T&E (LFT&E) procedures to assess system survivability and lethality in a realistic combat environment.
  • Proficiency with tools like ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution) and HBSS (Host Based Security System) to conduct vulnerability scanning and analysis.
  • Experience conducting adversarial assessments to identify and exploit system vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of cyber defense mechanisms, threat detection, and incident response in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
  • Expertise in securing Platform Information Technology (PIT), including the A&A process for aircraft or weapon platforms.
  • Familiarity with the DoD acquisition lifecycle and the role of T&E within it.
  • 5+ years' experience in Missile design and testing with preference for experience with Cruise Missile Design.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate system design activities.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and execute workload to meet requirements and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment conducting analysis with uncertainties or incomplete data.
  • Capable of breaking down complex issues into simplified problem statements and laying out objective approaches to identify and compare the merits of competing solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • DoD 8140/8570 Certification: Possession of certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) for IAM Level III is highly preferred.
  • Active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance.
  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience with weapon system acquisition programs.
