Test and Evaluation Engineer

Booz Allen Hamilton•San Diego, CA

About The Position

The Test and Evaluation Engineer serves on a multidisciplinary product team planning, conducting, documenting, and improving engineering test and evaluation activities for assigned products, systems, subsystems, support equipment, hardware assemblies, and technical documentation. The engineer works directly for the Product Owner in a SAFe Agile delivery environment, translating product objectives, user needs, system requirements, and acceptance criteria into measurable test activities and objective evidence that supports technical decisions, product increments, configuration-control decisions, and government acceptance. The role involves working with testers, developers, and engineers to evaluate software developed for the Department of Navy. The engineer creates test plans and test cases based on user stories, generates data, executes manual and automated tests, evaluates performance, documents results, and communicates defects to the development team. The role also includes automating continuous security and performance testing and monitoring the health of a Navy system. It integrates engineering, test, logistics, configuration management, fabrication, documentation, and stakeholder inputs to help ensure delivered capabilities are technically sound, traceable to approved requirements, supportable, and ready for operational use.

Requirements
