About The Position

Territory Sales representatives at Acme Tools play an instrumental role in the success of our business. They work from both the store and out in the field, setting up appointments and presenting their products at the customer’s work site or business. This position will require the operation and upkeep of a company vehicle and technology resources.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of direct customer service experience, preferably in outside sales
  • Strong technology skills and ability to learn new software
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers
  • Prior knowledge or use of tools and equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability to work in-store on Saturdays as business dictates

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of previous outside sales experience
  • Experience working with general and HVAC contractors, industrial businesses, and home/remodeling customers

Responsibilities

  • Provide sales and product support of industrial, construction, and residential construction equipment
  • Prospect for new accounts, foster current customer relationships, and continue to grow opportunities with new and existing customer by taking a consultative sales approach to provide value to our customers.
  • Always provide world class customer service through their knowledge of Acme Tools’ product offerings, service capabilities, and current programs
  • Identify the customer’s opportunities and make product or service recommendations that will meet the needs of the customer
  • Showcase items through product demonstrations prior to the sale
  • Walk customers through starting procedures and breaking-in periods once product is purchased
  • Follow up after the sale to ensure the customer is satisfied with their purchase and resolve any potential issues they may have
  • Participate in store events such as physical inventories, sales meetings, trade shows, vendor trainings, and special sales
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity
  • Rolling with the punches when it comes to taking on new, related challenges
