About The Position

Mercana is seeking a Territory Sales Representative based in our Surrey location to develop and manage a portfolio of retail and design accounts within a designated geographic regions throughout North America. The Representative is responsible for driving sales growth through new account acquisition and the development of existing relationships. This role requires an entrepreneurial, business-minded individual who is motivated to build and grow a territory through consistent outreach, strong customer relationships, and a high level of ownership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with strong work ethic
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on growth and ownership
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales targets within a designated territory
  • Develop solutions that meet customers’ evolving business needs
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with retail and design partners
  • Represent Mercana at trade shows and customer meetings
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory
  • Maintain a consistent cadence of outreach to prospective accounts
  • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand to inform strategy
  • Understand each customer’s business, buying patterns, and product needs
  • Develop and execute account plans to drive growth
  • Collaborate with customers on product selection and merchandising strategies
  • Travel within the territory to visit key and prospective accounts
  • Attend major trade shows (Las Vegas and High Point Markets)
  • Prepare sales plans and track performance against targets
  • Work closely with internal teams including Operations, Customer Success, and Marketing
  • Support customers through onboarding, order flow, and ongoing account management

Benefits

  • On-Target Earnings: $70,000–$75,000
