About The Position

The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for building relationships in their area of focus. In the Industrial channel this would include end users, distribution, and fabrication. Knowledge of all Atlas products, programs, and sales and marketing tools are essential to success in this position. The Territory Sales Representative position has no direct reports. Two years of EPS or similar experience, preferably in packaging and cold chain markets. Looking for an individual with a hunter mentality that would work to grow an already large customer base. This position’s main focus will geographically be in the greater Atlanta, GA area but will include parts of Alabama, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

Requirements

  • Minimum Two (2) years sales experience in Expanded Polystyrene, packaging, cold chain, or similar markets.
  • Ability to professionally communicate verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers and anyone involved in the sale of the product.
  • Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and the general public.
  • Computer skills Word, Excel, PowerPoint, People Soft MS Team and Salesforce
  • Self-motivated. Work and manage time independently while building strong relationships with fellow Atlas Molded Products team members from sales, manufacturing, customer support, and management.

Nice To Haves

  • Outside sales and/or customer support experience as a distributor or manufacturer's repetitive is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Keep aware of market pricing, product innovations, competitive product lines, and market trends in assigned market.
  • Establish and maintain competitive market pricing through timely and accurate gathering and communication of competitive market information.
  • Communicate accurate information with Regional Sales Manager, National Account Managers, Plant Manager, Account Executives, and other Field Sales Representatives daily on developments impacting their area of responsibility.
  • Inspect and assist in complaint resolution in a timely and professional manner that will maintain business on a steady growth pattern and provide adequate follow up.
  • Collaborate at each level of the channel to conduct pull-through sales of Atlas products to maximize the promotion of our products and to ensure Atlas has adequate coverage in the assigned market area.
  • Provide necessary literature, samples, technical data, and other advertising materials needed in the field.
  • Communicate credit issues with customers to the Credit Department. Submit required credit documents to the Credit Department when developing new accounts.
  • Display and promote Atlas products by attending the appropriate trade shows, customer events, and other segment related activities
  • Promote new products and keep customers informed of promotions, special offers, and incentive opportunities.
  • Participate in joint sales calls with internal personnel as well as those within the assigned channel.
  • Design business plans that meet both Atlas and distributor’s expectations. Evaluate customer performance on a quarterly and yearly basis and report the results to the Region Manager.
  • Follow up on quotes and ensure the proper documentation has been sent to the appropriate Account Executives and the Pricing Department.
  • Keep aware of budgeted goals throughout the year and know if goals are being met and stride to exceed goals.
  • Submit accurate expense reports and maintain a reasonable ratio of sales expenses to volume of sales as assigned in yearly budget.
  • Frequent travel in assigned territory in a timely and cost-effective manner. Infrequent overnight travel, 25%.
