About The Position

Socket Fiber is looking for a Territory Sales Representative to join their residential sales team. In this role, you will go door-to-door in targeted neighborhoods, connecting with homeowners and introducing them to the power of Socket’s fiber internet. You will educate, engage, and close sales that directly support your neighbors and your goals. No traditional sales background, telecom experience, or specific education is required, as the company trains competitive, coachable, and energetic people. The role involves working primarily in the field in the Columbia, Missouri area, with opportunities in surrounding markets. Evening hours and some Saturdays are common. The position offers guaranteed base pay plus uncapped commission with clear milestones.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license + clean driving record
  • Ability to walk several miles/day outdoors in all weather
  • Willingness to travel within a 30-mile radius
  • Flexibility to work evenings and some Saturdays
  • Positive, confident attitude and willingness to be coached

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Customer-facing or field sales experience
  • Familiarity with internet/telecom a plus
  • Competitive spirit and desire to succeed in a goal-driven role

Responsibilities

  • Walk neighborhoods and talk with residents about switching to Socket Fiber
  • Build rapport quickly and create a great first impression
  • Use tools and training to explain our services and answer questions
  • Close sales and log activity in our CRM system
  • Follow up with leads and coordinate with the install team
  • Share field insights with the team to improve outreach strategies
  • Represent Socket professionally and follow all safety guidelines
