About The Position

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for growing the US Central region for test and measurement and power quality equipment. This role involves both direct sales, hunting and winning strategic key accounts, and managing a network of independent sales reps and distribution partners. The ideal candidate will be the commercial authority for the region, responsible for forecasting, customer engagement, and market intelligence. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical sales skills, the ability to manage indirect channels, and a genuine enjoyment of travel and autonomy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in technical sales.
  • Experience in test and measurement, power quality, or technical electronics is ideal.
  • Ability to demo the range of products and support them credibly.
  • Proven track record of hitting sales numbers through both direct and indirect channels.
  • Comfortable with extensive travel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Commercially sharp with negotiation skills.
  • Ability to fix problems rather than escalate them.

Responsibilities

  • Grow the US Central region for test and measurement and power quality equipment.
  • Act as the commercial authority for all products sold in the region.
  • Directly hunt and win strategic key accounts.
  • Demonstrate equipment, run seminars, and work tradeshows.
  • Manage and hold accountable a network of independent sales reps and distribution partners.
  • Maintain a rolling three-month forecast.
  • Provide accountability for end-user activity.
  • Conduct honest evaluations of sales representatives and partners, potentially leading to termination.
  • Act as the eyes on the market, reporting on competitor behavior, customer requirements, and strategic adjustments.
  • Keep the CRM system current.
  • Feed market intelligence back monthly.
