About The Position

This position supports the Mid-North Atlantic region and requires candidates to live within the territory. The role focuses on building and expanding the Acoustics implant product line to benefit individuals with hearing loss. The Acoustic Territory Manager will be responsible for supporting surgical and clinical cases, demonstrating business sales and training acumen, and creating, managing, and maintaining strong relationships with professional providers including surgeons, audiologists, hospitals, and clinics. The role also involves developing knowledge across Cochlear’s product portfolio and collaborating with colleagues to create business plans for growing accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Minimum
  • 2 years of Medical Device Sales experience, specialty pharma experience and/or Certificate of Clinical Competency, or Hearing Healthcare industry
  • 2 years’ experience in sales planning, carrying a revenue number, budgeting and/or forecasting
  • Demonstrated prioritization and organization skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly effective presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed for training and territory support.
  • Can demonstrate learning agility, influence.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Depending on territory coverage requirements, must also have access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Must meet all credentialing requirements to obtain hospital and surgical center access.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting for opportunities with new and existing customers with a focus on the Acoustics product portfolio.
  • Building successful relationships with surgical partners and demonstrating credibility with key accounts.
  • Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of sales reports, forecast templates, and SGA reports for planning purposes.
  • Utilizing business acumen tools such as Miller Heiman, Salesforce, and contracting.
  • Providing clinical expertise to Cochlear professional customers by applying knowledge of candidacy criteria, test batteries, and fitting software proficiency with Custom Sound (CI) and Smart Sound (Baha).
  • Maintaining in-depth product knowledge of both CI and Baha internal product offerings to effectively sell and position Cochlear product features and brand benefits.
  • Selling in a surgical environment.
