About The Position

Bourgault Industries is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to lead the Kansas and Colorado regions. This role is crucial for driving sustainable growth, developing strong relationships with dealers and customers, and acting as a technical and agronomic authority on no-till and minimum-till seeding systems. The position involves executing product start-ups, demonstrations, trade shows, and customer clinics, as well as training dealer sales teams. The Territory Sales Manager will translate engineering and agronomic advantages into on-farm value, provide market intelligence, and collaborate with various internal teams. This home office-based role requires approximately 75% travel and offers significant autonomy and trust to lead a critical territory.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in agricultural equipment sales or closely related agricultural sectors (farming, agribusiness, precision ag, agronomy)
  • A degree or diploma in agriculture, agribusiness, business, or ag/mechanical engineering
  • Passionate about agronomy, farming and equipment
  • Strong understanding of no-till/min-till farming systems, large-acre operations, and crop production practices
  • Proven ability to build long-term relationships and influence outcomes
  • Sound leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and presentation skills
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

Responsibilities

  • Leading territory strategy across Kansas and Colorado to drive sustainable growth
  • Developing deep, trusted relationships with dealers and key customers
  • Acting as a technical and agronomic authority on no-till and minimum-till seeding systems
  • Executing product start-ups, demonstrations, trade shows, and customer clinics
  • Training and supporting dealer sales teams on product, pricing, and ordering
  • Translating engineering and agronomic advantages into on-farm value
  • Providing market intelligence and industry insights to internal leadership
  • Collaborating closely with service, marketing, engineering, and sales teams
  • Resolving dealer concerns, problems and frustrations as they arise
  • Assisting the service department in resolving customer complaints
