This job includes a base rate plus commissions. It provides leadership and directs the activities of a business development team within a specific market area, focusing on investment management and risk (insurance) management. The role is responsible for achieving both team and individual production goals. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years investment and insurance sales experience required
  • Thorough knowledge of investment and insurance products and applicable securities and insurance rules and regulations.
  • Strong communication and PC skills.
  • Unblemished compliance record.
  • Demonstrated team player and high quality service provider.
  • FINRA Series 6 & 63 or 66 and State Required Life, Accident and Health, Licenses.
  • If not Series 7 licensed, FC will be required to obtain license within 90 days.

Nice To Haves

  • Series 7 and Series 24 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction, training and coaching to assure goals are met and overall development of team's skills and book of business continues.
  • Meets regularly with assigned Financial Consultants to discuss sales ideas, referral opportunites, sales efforts, current investment climate, customer insights and results.
  • Interviews and profiles customers/prospects to determine investment and insurance needs, recommend appropriate products, and makes appropriate referral to branch or to other members of regional market team.
  • Develops and executes individual business plan to meet sales goals.
  • Monitors client investment performance and makes appropriate recommendations.
  • Maintains minimum assigned level of production consistent with individual or team goals.
  • Sets goals for team members and evaluates individual performance.
  • Participates in recruiting and hiring of new team members and takes leadership role in training and development of new team members.
  • Cultivates and fosters proactive relationships with staff of assigned markets with regular meetings to discuss sales ideas, referral opportunities, results of customer meetings, and promotional campaigns.
