About The Position

Behavioral Innovations is seeking a Territory Outreach Manager (TOM) to expand our provider network and increase access to life-changing autism services throughout your assigned territory. In this role, you'll serve as the face of Behavioral Innovations within the healthcare community, developing trusted partnerships with physicians, specialists, and referral sources while helping more children and families access the care they need. This is a full-time, hybrid, field-based role with 67-100% weekly travel throughout the assigned territory. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven business development professional who thrives on opening doors, building strategic partnerships, and driving measurable growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2–4+ years of experience in healthcare business development, physician outreach, provider relations, territory sales, medical sales, healthcare marketing, or referral development.
  • Demonstrated success building relationships with physicians, medical practices, or healthcare decision-makers.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales, outreach, or business development goals.
  • Experience managing a geographic territory with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory 67-100% of the workweek.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic outreach plan that drives referral growth across assigned centers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and high-potential referral partners.
  • Expand Behavioral Innovations' presence within the local healthcare community.
  • Analyze market trends and referral patterns to maximize territory performance.
  • Become the trusted outreach resource throughout the market.
  • Establish and strengthen long-term relationships with pediatricians, developmental specialists, psychiatrists, neurologists, nurse practitioners, therapists, office managers, and healthcare administrators.
  • Conduct regular in-person provider visits throughout the territory.
  • Position Behavioral Innovations as the preferred ABA referral partner.
  • Maintain ongoing engagement through proactive relationship management.
  • Educate healthcare providers on ABA therapy, autism treatment pathways, insurance processes, and Behavioral Innovations' clinical outcomes.
  • Deliver provider presentations, Lunch & Learns, educational events, and networking opportunities.
  • Represent Behavioral Innovations at community events, medical associations, autism advocacy organizations, and professional conferences.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for providers navigating autism referrals.
  • Generate high-quality referrals aligned with organizational growth goals.
  • Partner closely with Intake, Clinical Leadership, and Center Operations to ensure a seamless referral experience.
  • Maintain strong provider communication throughout the referral process.
  • Identify opportunities to improve referral conversion and provider satisfaction.
  • Track provider engagement, referral activity, and territory performance using CRM tools.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of provider interactions.
  • Leverage data and performance insights to continuously improve outreach strategies.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed territory growth and referral objectives.
