About The Position

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is searching for a trench safety and underground construction solutions Territory Manager to join its U.S. Shoring & Equipment team. This is a maintenance and growth role with a defined territory across the Dallas-Fort Worth market. You will be responsible for strengthening existing customer relationships while actively developing new business across your territory. This role requires consistent prospecting, strong follow-up, and the ability to turn opportunities into closed business. Our expectation is that you protect and grow what we have, while creating new opportunities where we are not yet established. You will be working directly with contractors in utility, civil, and underground construction—helping them solve problems, stay safe, and keep projects moving.

  • Proven ability to hunt for new business and grow a territory—not just maintain existing accounts
  • Strong work ethic with a “take ownership” mindset
  • Ability to communicate clearly and build trust with customers and teammates
  • Organized and disciplined in managing time, follow-up, and pipeline
  • Comfortable working in the field, on job-sites, and in front of customers
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and execute
  • Holds themselves accountable to results, not activity

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, trench safety, or underground utilities preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a defined territory through consistent prospecting and customer engagement
  • Drive rental and sales of trench shoring systems, trench boxes, road plates, and Barbco auger boring machines
  • Build relationships with utility contractors, civil contractors, municipalities, and underground construction companies
  • Identify job opportunities early and position U.S. Shoring as the solution provider
  • Conduct job-site visits, customer meetings, and equipment demonstrations
  • Maintain accurate and consistent customer interactions, opportunities, and follow-up activities within the CRM system
  • Work closely with the yard, service, and office teams to deliver on commitments
  • Manage quotes, follow-up, and close business with urgency and professionalism
  • Stay engaged in industry events, training, and networking opportunities
