About The Position

US Municipal Supply is seeking a motivated and results-driven Territory Manager to develop and grow sales within the assigned Western Pennsylvania geographic territory. This position is responsible for building long-term customer relationships with municipalities, contractors, utilities, public works departments, and related industries while identifying new business opportunities and driving profitable revenue growth. The ideal candidate combines strong outside sales experience with hands-on knowledge of municipal equipment and operations and is comfortable demonstrating products in the field.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of successful outside sales experience, preferably in municipal, utility, heavy equipment, construction, public works, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth and consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong knowledge of municipal equipment, fleet operations, public works, or infrastructure products.
  • Experience operating municipal, construction, or heavy equipment for demonstrations and customer training is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities within a defined territory.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required or the ability to obtain and maintain one within a specified period of employment.
  • Ability to safely operate and transport commercial vehicles and municipal equipment in accordance with DOT regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling municipal equipment, sewer maintenance equipment, street maintenance equipment, refuse equipment, vacuum trucks, jetting equipment, or related public works products.
  • Established relationships with municipalities, public works departments, utilities, and contractors.
  • Knowledge of government purchasing processes, cooperative purchasing programs, and municipal bidding procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue and profitability goals in Western Pennsylvania market.
  • Prospect and acquire new municipal, contractor, utility, and industrial customers while maintaining and growing existing accounts.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, presentations, equipment demonstrations, and job site evaluations.
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers, including Public Works Directors, Fleet Managers, Purchasing Departments, Engineers, and Contractors.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend equipment, parts, and service solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal sales, service, and operations teams to ensure exceptional customer support.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and industry trends within the assigned territory.
  • Attend industry trade shows, customer events, and association meetings to promote US Municipal Supply products and services.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales forecasts, and activity reports within the company's CRM system.
  • Safely transport, operate, and demonstrate municipal equipment as required.
