The Territory Manager - West Region for the Power Generation Aftermarket group is an integral part of the business unit’s success. In this role you will be responsible for gaining access to key Gas Turbine operators and customers. Ideal candidates for this role will have a track record of obtaining new business with a strategic focus on growing market share with technology driven solutions.

Requirements

  • Technical/Associates or Bachelor's degree in a business, marketing, engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years progressive work experience
  • 3+ years of experience as an Outside Sales & acquiring new business
  • Ability to perform on-site inspections and support in filter change-out activities.
  • Climb 30' ladders and access filter inlets.
  • Handle 30lb filters for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with customer relationship software (CRM, Salesforce, other)
  • Experience in the energy industry
  • Technical aptitude – will have full technical support but needs to learn PG products so they can sell our value to prospective customers

Responsibilities

  • Build a strategy for gaining access to 100’s of Gas Turbine operators within your territory and develop your territory’s revenue and forecasting planning.
  • Support product launch activities on new technologies being brought to the industry.
  • Achieve revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per customer and by identifying, developing and closing new sales opportunities.
  • Conduct regular business review meetings with the customer’s management teams to understand their needs and link to the organization’s product/service strategies.
  • Gain market information and competitive data to be used in the development of sales strategies, channel development and product portfolio content/positioning.
  • Management of key customer metrics.
  • Foster relationships and expand reach with resale partners.
  • Gives input to product management functions that grow market share and business profitability.
  • Work cross-functionally with the global team to identify new sales opportunities and products that will expand our market position and reach.
  • Be the voice of the Customer by understanding current needs and communicating them throughout the organization.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and market trends to propose new products to the management team.
