About The Position

Sells full line of building materials to assigned channels by performing the following duties. This role requires professional dress according to PrimeSource dress code policy. The Territory Manager will compile lists of prospective customers, be knowledgeable of current market conditions, campaigns, and pricing, and drive throughout their assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talk with customers on the sales floor or by phone. The role involves using a Runzheimer GPS device per PrimeSource Policy, displaying or demonstrating products, emphasizing salable features, and completing required training. The Territory Manager will quote prices and credit terms, prepare sales contracts, communicate and understand competitive field-level pricing, and estimate delivery dates. They will record expenses and submit them per TE policy, work with inside sales representatives, track stock levels at customer locations, and submit itineraries, call reports, and other corporate or local requirements. The role also includes visiting prospective accounts to validate legitimacy, coordinating customer training, developing and maintaining relationships with purchasing contacts and customer ownership, investigating and resolving customer problems, attending trade shows and customer events, and participating in monthly reviews with the sales manager and assigned ride-alongs.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, OR six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CRM systems, Company Reporting Software, Internet Software, Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.
  • Valid Driver's License, current Insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of iPad use helpful.
  • SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
  • Be organized & knowledgeable of current market conditions, campaigns and pricing
  • Drives vehicle throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.
  • Uses Runzheimer GPS device per PrimeSource Policy.
  • Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.
  • Completes required training. (quizzes, pks, etc.)
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Communicates and understands competitive field level pricing across product categories.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
  • Records expenses & submits per TE policy.
  • Works with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
  • Tracks stock levels at customer location.
  • Responsible for submitting itineraries, call reports and any other corporate or local requirements.
  • Visits all prospective accounts to validate legitimacy.
  • Coordinates customer training.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts, customer ownership and other critical personnel.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems.
