Territory Manager - Hawaii & Guam

Nyle Water Heating SystemsHonolulu, HI
Remote

About The Position

This is a fully remote position based in Hawaii, covering Hawaii and Guam. The role involves serving as the technical voice in design meetings, a problem-solver on job sites, and building relationships with building owners and contractors. The company is seeking an engineer or technical salesperson in the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) field who desires a career combining technical work, sales, and business development. A strong engineering foundation, a can-do attitude, and the drive to own a territory are essential. The company offers support for growth. Hawaii presents a significant market for heat pump water heating due to high commercial electricity costs, lack of natural gas infrastructure, and a mandate for 100% renewable energy by 2045. The mild climate enhances system efficiency. The value proposition is clear through cost savings, and providing documented data on efficiency and performance will be key to success. Delivering excellent service to engineering, contractor, and wholesaler communities is also crucial. A dedicated individual on the ground is needed to drive success in these markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.
  • 1 to 4 years of experience in the MEP space (mechanical or plumbing design, HVAC, commercial construction, or equipment applications).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a self-directed, can-do attitude.
  • Comfort with hand tools and basic electrical testing for light field work.
  • Based in Hawaii (Oʻahu preferred) or willing to relocate before starting.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory and to Bangor, Maine for training and company events.

  • Escalate deeper technical work to a licensed refrigeration technician or a Nyle applications engineer when a job exceeds your scope.
  • Provide light field technical support: equipment startup support, contractor guidance during installation, and troubleshooting within your depth.
  • Build working relationships with local service entities so trained technician support is available when a customer needs it.
  • Support inside sales and applications engineering with system design input, design review, and quotes as needed.
  • Feed field experiences back to product development to help shape improvements and configurations.
