About The Position

Cogent Analytics is seeking a top-performing sales professional to fully own their market and drive high-value sales as a Regional Vice President of Business Development. This individual contributor role is designed for an elite closer looking to accelerate their career and earning potential. Cogent Analytics is a full-service business advisory firm that helps SMBs improve operations, profitability, and overall business health through a consultative, data-driven approach and a proprietary Lifecycle Program for long-term client success. The company has grown significantly since 2014 and is recognized for its services to privately held SMBs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of executive-level, consultative B2B sales experience
  • Expert prospector with a strong track record of engaging business owners and closing deals
  • High-energy hunter who thrives in a competitive environment
  • Advanced CRM and software skills
  • Ability to travel within their territory for in-person meetings (up to 75% overnight travel)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach via calls, emails, and networking to secure 10+ meetings/week with business owners.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to introduce Cogent’s Discovery Process, an expert-led business analysis designed to uncover opportunities for profitability and efficiency.
  • Engage with business owners and key stakeholders in your region to establish a strong presence, positioning Cogent as the go-to partner for business growth.
  • Work closely with Cogent’s in-office business development team to maximize client-facing appointments, while driving your own pipeline growth and closing high-value deals.
  • Drive a minimum of 35 prospect touches per week, securing at least one Discovery commitment weekly.
