Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (though a Bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent experience or combination of education and experience will be considered on an exception basis.).
  • Five to eight years of work experience in hardware and/or software support.
  • Local residence and living within your assigned service area.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • The willingness and ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including credit check, criminal, driving record, and drug screen.
  • Ability to lift and carry tools and parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Open to prolonged travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a group, team, or project leader, or other supervisory/leadership capacity in technical services or support is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise 45+ employees including a TM1 who will have some of those employees as direct reports, responding to customer opportunities, issues, and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Have complete leadership and supervisory responsibility for mentoring a TM1 and all direct/indirect reports.
  • Develop fantastic relationships with internal customers, working to advise them about service and service delivery, including maintenance agreements and SLAs.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and preventive measures for repeat escalation situations.
  • Solve escalations due to resource problems (such as disciplinary and soft-skills issues).
  • Conduct hiring activities and monitoring of performance improvement issues, providing appropriate coaching and counseling to team members.
  • Track expenses and finance (such as overtime and other employee-related costs), and others involving physical assets (like tools, test equipment, vehicles, and service parts).
  • Manage the performance management process, like setting objectives, executing quarterly/annual performance reviews, and managing vacation and training schedules.
  • Establish on-going, open communications with different planners and coordinators.
  • Conduct individual and team meetings on a regular basis.
