About The Position

The Endoscopy Operating Unit specifically aims to disrupt the status quo in gastrointestinal cancer and chronic disease management through transformational technologies, empowering gastroenterologists with AI and therapeutic innovations. The Territory Manager is a field-based sales role responsible for calling on healthcare organizations, primarily hospitals, within a defined geographic area. This role involves educating physicians and nurses on the clinical advantages of the GI product portfolio, expanding product utilization through market development and sales activities, and maintaining a high level of clinical product knowledge to serve as an expert for the company. The position requires residing within the territory and traveling to multiple accounts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 6+ years experience OR Associate’s Degree AND 4+ years experience OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience
  • Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • A valid driver's license is essential for this role.
  • Must reside within the territory (LA North - San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles).
  • Possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization (for roles below Principal level).

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical sales experience with proven sales success and quota attainment (Gastrointestinal or Endoscopy sales experience highly preferred)
  • Contract negotiation experience with the regions
  • Track record of conversion success

  • Experience and advanced ability to partner and influence finance and procurement within the acute care setting

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas by driving incremental product adoption through clinical knowledge, primarily focused on the Gastrointestinal (GI) tract and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) anatomy.
  • Thoroughly understand product line features, benefits, and proof sources.
  • Routinely visit all customers within the assigned geographic area.
  • Establish excellent relationships with all healthcare professionals and physicians in their territory.
  • Educate physicians and clinical personnel on the use of GI products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts and the extended sales force by consistently communicating and sharing best practices.
  • Develop a thorough understanding and the ability to communicate the reimbursement environment for all products.
  • Routinely update sales action plans and forecasts.
  • Provide solution-oriented strategies to facilitate product adoption and accelerate sales growth.
  • Successfully launch new devices developed or acquired by the organization in the assigned territory.
  • Provide clinical product demonstrations and education in accounts through individual and group interactions to increase customer understanding and proficiency in the GI product line.
  • Demonstrate disease state expertise in all areas for which the products are used.
  • Understand and articulate clinical and journal articles in all relevant disease states.
  • Maintain administrative responsibilities in Salesforce.com.
  • Consistently perform administrative responsibilities such as expense reports, sales reports, and other business requests.
  • Perform all online trainings within assigned timelines demonstrating proficiency.
  • Adhere to Medtronic code of conduct policy.
