About The Position

Halter is seeking a Territory Manager for North Carolina to drive new business growth and ensure customer success. This role is crucial for expanding Halter's reach in the US agricultural market. The Territory Manager will execute sales strategies, build customer relationships, and meet growth targets, acting as the on-the-ground representative for Halter. The position requires a proactive, hands-on approach focused on both expansion and long-term customer satisfaction. Daily efforts will be prioritized to optimize performance and deliver value to customers. Collaboration with Product, Support, and Customer Onboarding teams is expected to share field insights and ensure Halter's technology meets the needs of US farmers. The role involves frequent travel within North Carolina and may include activities like being on horseback, assisting with cattle gathering, traversing pastures on a side-by-side, discussing Halter's benefits, or attending industry events.

Requirements

  • Results-driven, motivated, and adaptable with strong communication skills.

  • Ranching or cattle operations experience, understanding industry challenges.
  • Proven history of creating new business opportunities.
  • Experience in negotiating value-based sales conversations.

  • Experience managing a large territory with a focus on sales and customer success.
  • Resourceful and quick-thinking problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting new business through outbound lead generation, attending industry events, and building relationships with local agricultural associations.
  • Conducting in-field sales by engaging with potential customers on ranches, discussing Halter's value proposition, and providing hands-on assistance.
  • Expanding existing customer accounts by identifying new opportunities and increasing value over time.
  • Achieving high-growth sales targets through expert pipeline management and lead qualification.
  • Managing customer accounts post-sale to ensure satisfaction, provide support, and address challenges, facilitating a smooth handoff to customer onboarding.
  • Taking ownership of the assigned territory, building relationships with stakeholders, and engaging with regional agricultural groups.
  • Ensuring a positive customer onboarding and product deployment experience, owning the end-to-end process.
  • Gathering customer feedback from the territory and advocating for customer needs.
  • Collaborating with support teams to resolve customer issues promptly and escalating problems as needed.
  • Attending industry and Halter events to generate leads and deepen customer relationships.
  • Contributing to the US sales strategy by optimizing and evolving the sales process for the US market.
