About The Position

Wausau Tile is seeking a hardworking, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Terrazzo Machine Floater. This role supports the production process by operating various machines, assisting with equipment setup, and ensuring smooth workflow across multiple areas. The ideal candidate can work both independently and collaboratively, read and interpret production documents, and safely operate machinery as needed.

Requirements

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and kneeling
Repetitive use of hands, wrists, shoulders, and back
Ability to work around machinery in a manufacturing environment
Flexibility to work across multiple machines and production areas
Comfortable learning different processes and assisting wherever needed to support production goals

Responsibilities

Review production schedules, and specifications prior to production start-up
Set up and start machinery using standardized procedures, including basic preventative maintenance checks
Operate and support equipment such as grinders, polishers, curing ovens, resin machines, UV lights, and mud press
Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain consistent production flow
Monitor production processes and assist operators to ensure efficiency and quality output
Support multiple production areas as needed, including grinding, polishing, and packaging
Communicate equipment or production issues to team members and supervisors
Assist with material handling and movement of product
Complete required production documentation accurately
Perform end-of-day shutdown procedures and basic equipment cleaning
