About The Position

The Learning Experience of Southside (Jacksonville, FL) is seeking a flexible and enthusiastic Floater Teacher to join their team. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys variety and supporting classrooms across multiple age groups, from infants to preschoolers. As a Floater Teacher, you will play an important role in maintaining classroom consistency, ensuring children continue to learn, play, and thrive daily. You will support lead teachers, assist with lesson implementation, and help create a safe and happy learning environment.

Requirements

Minimum 6 months of childcare experience (1+ year preferred).
High school diploma/GED required.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must meet Florida childcare licensing requirements.

Nice To Haves

CDA, Associate, or higher degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Responsibilities

Support teachers in classrooms ranging from Infant to Preschool as needed.
Implement daily routines and assist with The Learning Experience’s L.E.A.P.® Curriculum.
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
Ensure classrooms remain safe, organized, and engaging.
Step in to cover breaks, vacations, or absences to maintain quality care and consistency.
