About The Position

The Terrain Park Crew is an essential part of the parks department at Stratton Mountain. The crew provides a progression-based park platform to challenge riders and help them grow their skills each season. Crew members perform daily park checks to help keep guests safe and directly contribute to the features and layouts in all parks. This is a full-time seasonal opportunity compensated at $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient terrain park skier or rider.
• Knowledge of terrain park trends, design, building, and best practices.
• Ability to perform work in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the minimum requirements of the Intrawest Driver’s Standards Policy.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Grooming team to construct terrain parks.
• Open and close parks, mark features, hand-tune features, and test features.
• Contribute creative park design ideas.
• Create a dynamic terrain park experience by interacting with guests and maintaining a presence in the parks.
• Educate guests about park etiquette and promote slope safety.
• Enforce Stratton policies in terrain parks.
• Install and remove signage, banners, rope, flagging, and fencing.
• Perform routine inspections and regular maintenance of terrain features.
• Assist the Events Team with terrain park events.
• Report park issues to leads or supervisors.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
