About The Position

Terrain Park Attendants help create and maintain freestyle terrain environments around the mountain to provide reasonably safe and enjoyable experiences for guests. This position assists with the designing, building, shaping, and maintenance of terrain parks, as well as monitors park activity, educates guests on terrain park safety and etiquette, performs daily feature inspections, and helps maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the terrain parks. The Attendant serves as a positive ambassador for the resort while promoting a culture of safety, progression, and inclusivity.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English
  • Intermediate or higher skiing or snowboarding ability on all snow surface conditions
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and operational guidelines
  • Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently as well as with a team
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and peak periods

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience in terrain park or mountain operations
  • Familiarity with current terrain park trends and feature design principles
  • Experience with guest service or outdoor recreation operations

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the construction and daily maintenance of terrain park features
  • Assist with daily terrain park operations including opening, inspecting, testing, and closing features and parks
  • Install, maintain, and monitor signage/banners, boundary ropes/fencing, entries/exits and other safety elements
  • Monitor terrain park areas to promote safe guest behavior and adherence to resort policies
  • Report hazards, damage, maintenance concerns, incidents, and unsafe conditions to terrain park management
  • Assist with special events, freestyle competitions, and other marketing/promotional activations
  • Interact positively with guests, identifying educational opportunities and providing excellent customer service at all times
  • Communicate clearly and effectively via 2-way radio
  • Support other Mountain Operations departments as assigned
