About The Position

The Steamboat Terrain Park is looking for attendants who know their way around the Park! Must be a team player and will be expected to run a snowmobile. Must have a high level of safety awareness and communication ability. If that sounds like you, apply today! Position requires working weekends and holidays as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 years of previous work history/education required
  • Terrain park knowledge required
  • Effective communication skills to relate to guests and staff
  • Must be a team player and be willing to expand knowledge in Competition Service curriculum
  • Must safely operate a snowmobile
  • Must adhere to all safety policies
  • Must interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with SSRC’s Service Excellence standards
  • Must have valid driver’s license without limitations or restrictions and meet company’s insurability standards
  • Must be a minimum 18 years of age
  • Must ski or snowboard on varying terrain and in harsh weather conditions
  • Must ski/ride while carrying additional objects weighing up to 40 lbs. (i.e. fence bundles)
  • Expected to work outside in extreme conditions on uneven terrain
  • Expected to shovel & rake snow
  • Standing for periods of time at the top of the Park
  • Must communicate clearly in English
  • Minimum Level 7 skier/snowboarder with ability to safely handle all terrain and various conditions

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid credentials preferred

Responsibilities

  • Interact and speak with guest at the top of the Park
  • Responsible for positive guest relations and achievement of safety goals of SS&RC
  • Set up, breakdown and daily maintenance of terrain parks and 1/2 pipe
  • Up-keep of fences, signage and park features. Requires use of drill, shovel and rake
  • Assist with Special Events hosted in the terrain park and ½ pipe
  • Be trained to fill out "I witness" reports
  • Keep accurate records of features and work performed
  • Willing to do depositions if needed
  • Monitor and enforce park safety
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
