About The Position

Twin Eagle Terminals and Logistics is seeking a Terminal Operator to join their team. The company emphasizes a team-oriented, safe environment with competitive wages and benefits. The Terminal Operator's main role is to manage and execute tasks related to the scale house, silos, and railcars. This position requires effective communication with team members, railroad crews, and customers, as well as the ability to identify and report issues to the Terminal Manager.

Requirements

Ability to work outdoors in all environments.
Ability to take direction to perform individual tasks that contribute to the team's success.
Ability to cope with outdoor temperatures (hot and cold).
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment including half mask respirator, hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses when expected.
Ability to shovel sand, sweep scales, and use a grease gun.
Ability to climb heights to 95’ using safety ladders.

Responsibilities

Oversee and perform functions of the scale house, silos, and railcars.
Interact with team members, railroad crews, and other areas.
Understand customer needs and report issues or concerns to the Terminal Manager.
Perform general housekeeping duties in the scale house (sweep, mop, dust, clean restroom, take out trash).
Answer phones and communicate with drivers via CB radio.
Perform data entry from scaled truck weights.
Load sand trucks using the automation system.
Communicate with other employees via radio system.
Obtain driver signatures on paperwork and file appropriately.
Operate loader to load sand into hopper and inside the warehouse.
Maintain awareness of surroundings while operating equipment.
Control sand inventory in silos by communicating with the scale house.
Minimize contamination of sand props.
Open and close pit doors.
Verify switch alignments with Engineers before moving railcars.
Communicate with Engineers via radio.
Count cars and assist with all switches.
Inspect cars to determine separation points.
Connect and disconnect hoses and perform uncoupling procedures.
Set hand brakes by climbing a ladder and turning the brake wheel.
Operate pneumatic openers to open and close cars.
Record information from railcars.
Spot empty hoppers while communicating with the engineer.
