About The Position

Ergon Asphalt Partners is hiring a full-time Terminal Operator at its Tampa Causeway facility. The company describes itself as family owned, relationship-driven, and focused on maintaining a small-company feel despite having locations throughout the U.S. and Mexico. The operator performs a variety of operational functions within the terminal and works closely with Operator I employees to develop their skills. The ideal candidate has organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and housekeeping skills, is willing to learn, and contributes to the team and facility. Employment offers are contingent upon a pre-employment drug test, background check, and MVR. The posting also states that the position to be filled is Operator / Terminal Operator II.

Requirements

General computer skills and PC knowledge.
Basic mechanical skills.
High school diploma or GED.
Stable work history.
Organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and housekeeping skills.
Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods on concrete floors and outdoor surfaces.
Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions and cold, hot, and humid temperatures.
Manual dexterity and ability to reach, bend, and move with agility.
Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all safety requirements and procedures.
Work independently and as a team player.
Perform all Terminal Operator I functions proficiently.
Transfer products between tanks.
Operate a steam boiler.
Align valves and operate pumps.
Perform blending functions.
Perform general maintenance and minor repairs on machinery and equipment.
Perform quality-control testing using DSR and Brookfield equipment, where applicable.
Carry out other duties as required by the Terminal Manager.
Work closely with Operator I employees to develop their skills.
