About The Position

Ergon Asphalt Partners is hiring a full-time Terminal Operator at its Tampa Causeway facility. The role performs a variety of operational functions within the terminal to help produce high-quality asphalt binder. The operator works with a close-knit team and works closely with Operator I employees to develop their skills. The company seeks someone who is willing to learn, contribute to the team, and help improve the facility. The position requires organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and housekeeping skills. Employment offers are contingent upon a pre-employment drug test, background check, and MVR. The posting also states, “Position to be filled: Operator / Terminal Operator II.”

Requirements

General computer skills and PC knowledge.
Basic mechanical skills.
High school diploma or GED.
Stable work history.
Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods on concrete floors and outside surfaces.
Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions, including cold, hot, and humid temperatures.
Manual dexterity and ability to reach, bend, and move with agility.
Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all safety requirements and procedures.
Work independently and as a team player.
Perform all Terminal Operator I functions proficiently.
Transfer products between tanks.
Operate a steam boiler.
Align valves and operate pumps.
Perform blending functions.
Perform general maintenance and minor repairs on machinery and equipment.
Perform quality control testing using DSR and Brookfield equipment, where applicable.
Perform other duties as required by the Terminal Manager.
Work closely with Operator I employees to develop their skills.
