About The Position

Dohrn is a leading Midwest less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier providing less-than-truckload, truckload, and value-added services throughout its 10-state service area. The Terminal Manager provides leadership and manages every aspect of terminal operations, with a focus on safety and world-class customer service. The position also involves managing personnel, maintaining service and cost-control standards, ensuring compliance and facility and equipment upkeep, and assisting with supervisory and clerical functions as needed.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Minimum age of 21.
High school completion or equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Detail-oriented.
Transportation or supply chain experience required.
Management or supervisory experience required.
Problem-solver and self-motivated.
Ability to work both in a team and individually.
Excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

Provide the highest possible level of safety.
Provide the highest possible level of customer service.
Manage terminal personnel with a focus on safety, teamwork, morale, and customer service.
Follow, communicate, and enforce company policies, procedures, and goals.
Keep the terminal adequately staffed.
Train staff appropriately.
Supervise, coach, mentor, and motivate employees while leading by example.
Maintain the highest possible level of on-time service.
Maintain the highest possible level of cost control.
Assist with supervisory functions when needed.
Assist with office clerical functions when needed.
Work safely and professionally to reduce risks to oneself and fellow employees.
Comply with federal, state, and company regulations.
Work in a positive, supportive, and cooperative manner.
Ensure facility maintenance and good housekeeping.
Ensure proper equipment maintenance.
Perform other duties as needed.
