About The Position

ContainerPort Group (CPG®), a World Group company, is seeking a dedicated and driven Terminal Manager for its growing terminal in Houston, TX. This role is crucial for overseeing trucking operations and serving as the primary liaison between owner-operators and customers. The Terminal Manager will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with drivers and clients, upholding the company's core values, and driving business growth. This position requires a proactive approach to leadership, customer service, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced intermodal transportation environment.

Requirements

• HS diploma required
• 5 years intermodal transportation management experience
• 3 years managing an owner-operator based fleet
• Outstanding service performance, leadership, customer satisfaction and owner-operator recruiting skills are a must
• High degree of integrity and initiative
• Excellent management, communication, relationship building and networking skills
• Strong and proven operations background
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Fleet Manager, Customer Service and Operations team members located in the terminal
• Work closely with the recruiting and driver experience teams on IC acquisition and retention strategies
• Develop new business
• Grow and expand opportunities with the current customer base through relationship building with key account decision makers
• Coach and facilitate excellent communication and teamwork amongst Customer Service, fleet and operations management.
• Ensure safety accountabilities are met, holding true to the company's safety culture
• Oversee facility maintenance, including safety inspections
• Conduct P&L understanding and analysis (GP / NOI/ NI)
• Demonstrate servant leadership and mentoring skills
• Utilize Electronic Log and HOS experience
• Engage in impromptu problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
