The Terminal Agency Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the Smith County Sheriff’s Office compliance with TLETS/NLETS/TCIC/NCIC policies and the CJIS Security Policy that are mandated and monitored by DPS and FBI. This position ensures the Smith County Sheriff’s Office stays connected with the law enforcement community both nationally and internationally. Ensure agency-wide adherence to CJIS Security Policy, including reporting breaches, misuse, or system compromises to DPS. Maintain and update Non-Terminal Agency Agreements and Management Control Agreements for all partner agencies receiving CJI through Smith County. Administer access for all TLETS/TCIC/NCIC users, including creating, modifying, disabling, and auditing user accounts. Oversee physical and logical security of all DPS-provided equipment and any device accessing CJI.
