About The Position
The Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level beginning in August, 2027. Candidates with advanced experience may be considered for appointment at a higher academic rank. We seek inspiring educators who share our passion for teaching undergraduate engineering students. The department consists of nineteen faculty, and we offer two degrees, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Computer Engineering. Both are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET and ranked as top programs in the country for institutions without Ph.D. programs. Most sections run 25 students or fewer. We value active learning in the classroom and approximately 80% of our courses include an integrated hands-on laboratory component. Research and scholarship remain part of the role — professional development at Rose-Hulman is defined broadly as continued intellectual growth throughout one's career, which may include scholarship of discovery, integration, application, teaching, or learning, often carried out in partnership with undergraduate students — but it supports the teaching mission rather than competing with it. Requirements
- By the time of appointment, candidates must hold, or be near completion to, a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field.

- Experience or specializations in power engineering (any emphasis on smart grids is highly desirable)

- Experience or specializations in digital hardware / reconfigurable computing
- Prior industrial experience
- Interest in community engagement
