About The Position
Under the direction of the Superintendent of Revenue Facilities & Athletics, the Tennis professional is responsible for providing a safe, fun, encouraging learning environment, whereby participants gain skills and knowledge in the sport of tennis. Schaumburg Tennis Plus (STP) is home to a fitness center, fitness studio, an indoor pool, eight indoor tennis courts, six racquetball courts, and a wide variety of programs and special events.
Requirements
- Substantial knowledge of tennis
- A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a club setting
- High school degree/GED
- Ability to organize and plan time efficiently
- Ability to demonstrate a professional and positive attitude while working with patrons, park district staff, and volunteers
- Ability to complete our CPR/AED certification
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience teaching 10 & Under QuickStart tennis format
- NTRP rating of 4.5 or better
