About The Position

TGA of North Central NJ is seeking passionate individuals to teach tennis and/or pickleball to children aged 5-14. TGA uses youth sports to teach skills, character development, and proper etiquette in a fun and safe environment, primarily at schools or community centers. Coaches can work part-time, with flexible scheduling options available year-round. The organization is looking to hire 3-5 coaches for the Fall season.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Available during after school hours during the week (2:30pm and later).
• Reliable source of transportation.
• Ability to step out of your comfort zone and be a kid.
• Passion for working with kids and coaching sports.
• Clean background check.
• High energy, flexible schedule, punctual, passionate, and creative.
• Comfortable communicating with kids, as well as parents.

Nice To Haves

• Extensive coaching experience is not required as TGA trains all staff on their curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach the game of tennis and/or pickleball to kids ages 5-14.
• Incorporate education, character development, and proper etiquette into coaching sessions.
• Ensure fun and safety are top priorities during programs.
• Communicate effectively with kids and parents.
• Commit to at least one full session (by season).
