About The Position
The Tennis Instructor is responsible for teaching fundamental tennis skills to youth participants in a fun, safe, and engaging environment. This position is ideal for high school students with a passion for tennis and an interest in working with younger children. Instructors will lead drills, assist with skill development, and promote sportsmanship and teamwork.
Requirements
- Current high school student
- Basic knowledge and experience playing tennis
- Ability to work well with children of various ages and skill levels
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, responsible, and punctual
- Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with youth (sports, camps, babysitting, etc.)
- Participation in school or competitive tennis programs
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise youth tennis clinics, practices, and activities
- Teach basic tennis skills including grip, footwork, serving, and rallying
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment for all participants
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times
- Set up and take down equipment before and after sessions
- Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff
- Assist with organizing drills, games, and skill-building activities
- Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating good sportsmanship and attitude
