Tennis Instructors plan and lead tennis instruction to individuals and groups of students aged children to adults. Basic to advanced tennis skills are taught that meet the needs of the students. The tennis instructor is responsible for taking attendance and maintaining accurate attendance records. Responsible for setting up equipment before class begins and putting equipment away after class ends. Responsible for arriving for scheduled classes 15 minutes before the first scheduled lesson, on the court waiting for the arrival of student(s). Runs the tennis lessons and uses a lesson plan. Lesson plans are designed to meet and challenge the tennis ability level of assigned students and they must build upon one another and should change from week to week. Develops and implements drills designed to teach and reinforce skills. Encourage the tennis student(s) and use constructive feedback to correct student's play when necessary. Observe necessary safety precautions and procedures to provide a safe and fun class for program participants. Issue student evaluation reports and make recommendations to move students up to higher instructional levels. At the end of class sessions, provide students or their parents with program evaluation forms to evaluate your performance as an instructor. Provide excellent customer service to all students. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs all work in accordance with the Skokie Park District Tennis Professional Manual. Adheres to and actively enforces the safety responsibilities and safety procedures as outlined in the District's Safety Manual and overall risk management program.
