About The Position

The Tender Manager will be responsible for the independent execution of the offer manager role within Group Business Development, focusing on the professional development of competitive logistical solutions and offers. This role involves responsibility for the coordination, quality, and efficiency of all national and international processes for acquiring new customers and projects through tenders. The position also includes developing market strategies, further developing Schnellecke service products, and refining tender strategies for different market segments and customers.

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration, logistics, transport, industrial engineering, or comparable studies from a college, university, university of applied sciences, or university of cooperative education.
  • Completed vocational training with relevant professional experience in a management position.
  • Knowledge and experience in solution design at least at a senior level.
  • In-depth expertise in logistics processes (transport, warehouse, SCM), pricing, project management, sales, and customer acquisition.
  • Very good user experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), CRM system & SharePoint, and calculation tools.
  • Knowledge of AI use (CoPilot, ChatGPT, etc.).
  • Expert MTM UAS/Logistics (Methods-Time Measurement) knowledge.
  • Fluent in German & English.

Responsibilities

  • Takeover of the quotation lead primarily for new business.
  • Resource and scheduling planning, as well as close cooperation with departments involved in bid processing and technical management of project teams in the tender process.
  • Preparation and analysis of customer requirements from tenders and inquiries.
  • Responsibility for deadlines, quality, format, and content of the offers.
  • Conception of competitive logistics solutions for customers.
  • Review and optimization (e.g., personnel, equipment), warehouse planning, layout creation, and cost and price determination from the OpEx department.
  • Costing (e.g., personnel, equipment) of complex projects, warehouse planning, layout creation, and cost and price determination.
  • Close cooperation with departments involved in offer preparation.
  • Participation in and presentation of presentations for discussions with the board and/or regional management.
  • Participation in and presentation of customer projects.
  • Support/participation in contract negotiations.
  • Benchmarking of offer concepts, service levels, and processes.
  • Use and optimization of the CRM system and SharePoint storage.
  • Handover of won projects to OpEx.
  • Ensuring compliance with accident prevention regulations, occupational safety, health, fire protection, and environmental protection regulations.
