About The Position

The Tenant Coordinator at ShipRock Management plays a key role in ensuring positive tenant relations and efficient lease administration. This position involves writing and processing lease agreements, answering tenant inquiries, and supporting the property management team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and strong organizational abilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in property management, customer service, or administrative roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using property management software (e.g., Rent Manager) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Additional coursework in business, real estate, or related fields is a plus.
  • Knowledge of fair housing regulations and leasing practices is a plus.
  • A real estate license or certification is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare and process lease agreements, renewals, and amendments, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, and manage other forms of communication with tenants and prospective tenants.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of tenant information and sensitive company data, ensuring that all interactions and records are handled with discretion.
  • Assist with performing background checks and credit screenings on potential tenants.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, handling their requests and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with move-in, move-out, and periodic inspections to document property conditions and ensure compliance with lease terms.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of tenant interactions, lease agreements, and other related documents.
  • Provide administrative support to the property management team as needed.
  • Organize and manage tenant events and community-building activities.
  • Stay informed about market trends, rental rates, and competitor activities to provide valuable insights to the property management team.
