About The Position

Frontline Traffic Services is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals with traffic control experience to join their team as Temporary Workplace Signers (TWS). This role involves overseeing a team of Traffic Control Person(s) (TCPs) and collaborating with a foreman/superintendent to ensure a safe workplace on construction job sites in and around Halifax/Dartmouth and surrounding HRM areas. Requirements

• Reliable and punctual.
• Must be able to interpret both written and verbal instructions.
• Great communication skills and willing to work in a diverse team environment.
• Must be able to show leadership and good decision-making abilities.
• Able to work outside in all weather conditions, often working long days.
• Comfortable working near vehicle traffic and heavy equipment.
• Required ability to lift up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods of time.
• Valid TCP Certification.
• Valid TWS Certification.

Nice To Haves

• Valid Class 5 License an asset.

Responsibilities

• Set-up safe work zones using traffic cones, barrels and barricades.
• Plan detailed traffic control solutions based on customer needs and safe work practices.
• Responsible for the safe passage of vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists through work areas.
• Monitor the safe work zones and correct compliance and personnel issues as they arise.
• Communicate any incidents or hazards to the Site Supervisor.
• Complete required administration and safety paperwork.
• Ensure a safe work environment in accordance with all policies and procedures.
• Follow instructions given by Site Foreman, Site Supervisor, and Management.

Benefits

• Competitive wages starting at $20.00/hour for those with no drivers license or not in a driver role.
• Wages starting at $21.50/hour for applicants who will also be responsible for operating our company vehicles.
• Drivers must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License, clean drivers abstract, and no "N" or "R" on your license.
