About The Position

Join us for the summer! National Beef Packing of Dodge City Kansas is looking for individuals who are interested in joining us for the summer to work as a temporary maintenance technician. If you have experience with food processing and maintenance or are willing to learn, please apply today!

Requirements

• Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled
• Ability to read, write and speak English preferred
• Strong work ethic and eye for detail
• Exemplary safety record (with previous employer)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines
• Rebuilding, repairing, and/or replacing equipment/machinery/parts
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Installing equipment/machinery/parts
• Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems
• Creating daily activity reports
• Collaboration with management and other departments regarding maintenance issues throughout the facility
• Other duties as assigned
