Temporary Simulation Fidelity Specialist

About The Position

This role provides technical support during simulation sessions, including control of patient simulators, setup, and safe use of equipment. The specialist will also maintain and troubleshoot simulation center equipment, audio-visual systems, and related computer technologies. Collaboration with faculty, staff, and ISIC stakeholders is key to supporting student learning and delivering high-quality simulations. The role involves conducting demonstrations of simulation equipment and supporting quality improvement initiatives, center evaluations, and annual goals in compliance with university safety standards. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in an appropriate discipline plus 3 to 4 years of relevant clerical, administrative, or IT experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
  • Proven abstract analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using both media and information technology
  • Ability to acquire new skills and learn new techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with academic and technical colleagues.
  • Ability to problem solve in a changing environment.
  • Training and experience in academic/field–based health care e.g., Basic EMT , nursing or respiratory therapist.
  • Prior experience working with human patient simulators.
  • Experience working within an academic environment.
  • Experience working with medical equipment.
