Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a driving record that meets City standards: – No more than 2 moving violations in the last 18 months – No more than 3 moving violations in the last 36 months – No more than 1 chargeable accident in the last 18 months or 2 in the last 36 months – No more than 6 demerit points in the last 12 months – No OWI or reckless driving convictions in the past 5 years
• Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, including: Operating mowing equipment, Continuous lifting up to 20 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs. with assistance, Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and entering/exiting vehicles, Working in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, rain, dust, odors, noise, and traffic

Responsibilities

• Sign data collection to include setup and takedown of mobile signs
• Park attendant and janitorial duties
• Mowing, trimming, edging, weeding
• Tilling and maintaining landscape beds and paths
• Miscellaneous outdoor maintenance
• May assist other divisions during inclement weather
