About The Position

The Statler Hotel, located on Cornell University's campus, is renowned as "the premier hotel that teaches." It serves as the practical hotel operations laboratory for the Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration, providing students with hands-on experience in hospitality management. With over 150 rooms and state-of-the-art conference facilities, it hosts numerous important events and meetings. Requirements

Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
High School education or GED preferred, basic reading and writing skills.
Walking and standing 100% of the time.
Ability to push housekeeping cart regularly.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, and pulling.
Ability to perform light to moderately heavy housekeeping duties using the approved chemicals and equipment.

Nice To Haves

2 years of experience in custodian or hotel room attendant position.

Responsibilities

Cleaning and inspecting hotel guest rooms, upholding AAA four-diamond cleaning standards.
Greeting guests with a warm and comfortable introduction.
Maintaining linen room operations.
