Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-3 years of experience cooking in a restaurant, hotel, or resort
  • Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills
  • Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and follow cooking directions
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be organized and self-motivated
  • Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materials

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree preferred
  • A degree from an accredited College or University with a focus on Culinary Arts

Responsibilities

  • Executing daily prep tasks for banquet functions and the Banfi buffet, including fabricating proteins, cutting vegetables, and preparing menu items using standardized recipes.
  • Ensuring food quality through accurate preparation, monitoring temperatures, and adhering to operational standards while supporting smooth event execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Providing training and coaching to student employees.
  • Collaborating with front-of-house teams to resolve issues.
  • Supporting other departments when needed.
  • Maintaining cleanliness.
  • Completing prep lists.
  • Assisting on the line during breakfast and lunch shifts.
  • Working with Sous Chefs to manage family meals.
  • Upholding professionalism and a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience as part of a 4-diamond hotel team.
